make a change!

ways to reinvent yourself for the new year:

  • change your look!! even if you can’t afford a major wardrobe renovation, you can do some small things to start new!! trash or donate any clothes that don’t fit or that you don’t wear, and visit secondhand stores to find some cute pieces in a style you like, or save up for a higher quality statement piece
  • plan ahead!! use your phone’s calendar (or buy a planner, if you prefer physical items) and plan out your year. use it to keep yourself on a schedule and to try and stay organized
  • make healthier choices both physically and emotionally. try to keep your sleep schedule fairly normal, drink more water, find a way to exercise. drop toxic people, recognize your value, don’t waste time on anything that won’t better you as a person
  • pick up a hobby! or two or three or four. whether it’s something athletic, something creative, or just something fun, put yourself into a hobby!! bonus: you’ll have a go-to answer for job application questions

and remember, if you can’t stick with it, if you slip back into old habits, that’s okay!! you can reinvent yourself at any time, whether it’s January first or halfway through the year.

Each age has deemed the new-born year. The fittest time for festal cheer.

Happy New Year:)… From Vivek Patil
